Facilities onsite include pathology collection, physiotherapy, psychology and other allied health services.
All three medical practices are GP owned and operated. We are open 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) and are a mixed billing practice. We are an AGPAL accredited practice and computerised using Best Practice software. We are enabled to offer tele-health consultations. Fully supported by excellent nursing and administrative staff.
Our focus is the care we deliver to our patients, which is why we are constantly updating and evaluating our practice to ensure we maintain the highest standards of patient treatment and care.
The Canning Extract Clinical Audit Tool is used to analyse and understand the way we treat our patients, thus giving us the opportunity to set and create clinical goals in relation to all aspects of patient treatment and management. This includes the utilisation of new state of the art equipment to safely and efficiently treat patients and their conditions.
Port Macquarie is a growing coastal town on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Lake Innes Medical and Dental Centre is located on the western side of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie's borders and population have increased over the years with new and growing housing estates and subdivisions. It also is home to a sizeable Charles Sturt University campus and the UNSW rural medical school.
Charles Sturt University's Port Macquarie Campus opened in 2018 and has expanded its range of courses offered significantly. Along with Charles Sturt, North Coast TAFE offers its own range of tertiary courses and also a few from the University of Newcastle on its campus.
The Rural Clinical School of UNSW campus trains the future doctors and students can complete the full duration of their six year degree at Port Macquarie.
There are ample options when it comes to secondary and primary education private as well as public schooling options along with an independent Steiner based school for primary aged children. St Columba Anglian School, Mackillop College, St Joseph's Regional, Tacking Point Public School are a few of the well-known schools in the area.
There are a vast array of cafes and restaurants including a hatted restaurant in town. With a new cafe, restaurant or takeaway opening almost every week, there is sure to be something to satisfy each and every one. There are water views throughout the town thanks to both the Hastings River and the many beaches located within Port Macquarie and the Hastings area.
Throughout winter, Port Macquarie is one of the main places to catch a glimpse of the whales migrating north with cruises catering during the whale season or just simply head out to the Lighthouse at Tacking Point. If you are lucky, watch the Migaloo pass by the Port Macquarie coast.
Billabong Koala and Wildlife Park is home to many animals including koalas, meerkats, lions and tigers. North of Port Macquarie is Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberry Farm where you can pick your own strawberries to enjoy. Sea Acres Nature Reserve is a haven to wild animals in the natural rainforest with its own boardwalk.
The warm and sunny climate of Port Macquarie is second to none, regardless of the season "not too hot, not too cold but always perfect". Welcome to our heaven.
